PROGRAMS & SERVICES
Back-to-School
The Foundation’s Back-to-School program provides backpacks to our students from Kindergarten-grade 11 who are in need to begin the new school year. Without these necessities, many children would not be able to do their class work nor homework assignments, and progress towards a healthy educational and professional future.
In addition to the obvious financial assistance, back-to-school supplies and resources serve many other purposes to students and teachers, to include: boosting the confidence of a student walking into a classroom at the beginning of the year with all of their supplies and reduces teachers’ stress of teaching students who are not fully-prepared to learn.
Along with backpack supplies, we also provide scholarships to 10-20 students in the amount of $100-$250 for eligible students.
Clothing Drive & Distribution
Currently, the Foundation’s clothing drives and distributions happen in conjunction with our other community programs like Back-to-School and Christmas events. We accept new and slightly use clothing that are in good condition and distribute them to children and adults, based on availability.
Food Drive & Distribution
Our food-drives and distributions have never been able to meet the needs of the communities but still make a big difference in the lives of those individuals and families we serve. Since the onset of the pandemic, the sustained demand continues to be a challenge to fulfill. Bags of groceries are generally distributed in conjunction with other program activities.
Health & Wellness
The Foundation will encourage and actively promote healthy individual and families through nutrition, physical activity and healthy lifestyle, along with educational sessions, healthy food donation, and partnerships with speakers on mental health, exercise, and nutrition.
Along with annual health fairs which will include exams and screenings by medical professionals where the focus will be prevention, education and awareness, we will partner with national and international organizations to develop a “visiting nurses and doctors” program.
